Ok, I really don't agree with this version. The problem is Sting's accent in french is very confusing, and "dormier" dosn't mean anything at all. I understand, from his first yell, that the first sentence is "Je viens de dormir cette nuit" or even "Viens de dormir cette nuit" and in that case, he made a mistake, which is not impossible, if he put that first "de" that shouldn't be there. I don't have the time to correct everything in the way I understand the song, but a very important sentence is "Tout le monde est à moi, je l'ai gagné dans un jeu d'Etat" though "cartes" might be correct. I would have to sit down and analyze everything for at least an hour, so just ring Sting himself! :grin:

You've got it backwards. It's supposed to be "But we can *not* do as we wish / I will always be hungry for you."

I think the literal translation both sounds better and scans better than "devastated": You have *ravaged* my heart...
