Stu Phillips

Stu Phillips, geboren als Stuart Phillips in St-Eustache, nabij Montreal, op 19 januari 1933. Met zijn bariton stem bekend als “The Travelling Balladeer”. In de Sixties verhuisde hij naar Nashville en had hij enkele country hits in de Verenigde Staten waaronder “Bracero” en “The Great El Tigre” bij ons beter bekend in de versie van Will Tura als “El Bandido”. In 1967 werd hij lid van “The Grand Ole Opry”. Hij is gehuwd met Aldona.
