The Kooks

The Kooks is een band uit Brighton, opgericht in 2004.

De leden zijn:

Luke Pritchard
Hugh Harris
Peter Denton (vervanger van Max Rafferty sinds 2008)
Alexis Nuñez (vervanger van Paul Garred sinds 2009)

De naam van de band is overgenomen van de bekende song van David Bowie die 'The Kooks' heette en door David in 1971 was uitgebracht. The Kooks betekent (De) eigenaardige personen. De bands eerste song was Reptilla, een cover van The Strokes. Een EP demo volgde. Dat trok de aandacht van diverse platenmaatschappijen. The Kooks kozen voor Virgin Records. Inmiddels heeft de band 4 studioalbums op hun naam staan.

Do you like the album Konk as muck as i do? Hope yes :smiley: When I saw the studio, after which it was named, I understood, why that album is so great. This place is just awesome, and don't ask me, how did I get there :wink:

So I decided to listen to all the new bands, who recorded their songs on Konk. And i found the best one - it's Oswald. I dunno if it's the studio magic, or whatever, but you should give them a listen.
