Freedom not a word is so abused
There are so many people misused
Does it really exist? 
Or is there something that I’ve missed

Freedom it sounds in my head and in my ears
Freedom to live in a world without fear
Will it ever come that far
Or is it just a shooting star

Freedom stained with blood 
Freedom they say in the name of god
It can’t come out of a barrel from a gun
Or exclusively for one

Freedom for you and for me
Freedom the whole world must be free
Will we ever reach that far?

Freedom, only if it is for everyone
We’ll keep on shouting till it’s done
Freedom no weapons no disease
Freedom lets get into a dance for peace
