Beautiful Badness
Beautiful Badness is a franco-belgian collective gathered around the composer and singer Gabriel Sesboué. Five musicians coming from different horizons and projects that have been touring all over Europe (Wax Taylor, Univers Zero…) tell a story about the past, the leaving, Beautiful Badness Many Years EP Fall 2015 and nostalgia. Inspired by the English and American melancholic pop as well as classical music, Beautiful Badness offers an organic sound contrasting with today’s mainstream electro wave, walking in the footsteps of artists such as Agnes Obel or Woodkid. Choirs, dark and heavy pianos, almost orchestral drums, high-flying guitars and old instruments (strings, harmonium…), everything comes as a support for lead vocals that take off from the lowest notes to the inaccessible top.
From 2012 to 2014, the band plays in most of the venues in Brussels (Botanique, VK, Ferme du Biéreau, Kultuur Kaffee…) and opens for several international bands (Kodaline, Birdpen…)
After the single A Sunny Morning in January 2015, produced by Koen Gisen (An Pierlé, Bony King Of Nowhere…) and acclaimed by the Belgian press and radio stations, Beautiful Badness releases this fall a new 5 tracks EP and a new single both called Many Years, followed by a tour that will start with a release party at Le Botanique and will go through the country in the company of the British band Birdpen.
