The new Stone Sour album is anything but another dismal output like the first album.Come What(ever) May is now the beginning of hopefully a series of good albums, as the first was (or at least in my eyes) a filler album, the first album seemed like a random compilation of songs that Stone Sour had put together and did not stand out or help them mark there place in the ranks of good metal bands like Corey Taylor's alternate band SlipKnot.However this album bursts with potential, finally we see that Stone Sour are here and ready to rip your face off. The opening song '30/30 150' powers out riffs that make you want to headbang again and again, and this continuous throughout the album with Corey's rampaging voice right behind.'Reborn' Is a song to which you can scream your guts out along to or just relax in the subtle verses that Corey Taylor lures you into before the raging chorus. 'Come What(ever) May' has that funky 'move about' feeling with a very lively sense about it and songs like 'Made Of Scars' and 'Hell And Consequences' you want to sing along to. And we even see a hint of Corey's softer side with songs like 'Through Glass' which is a four minute explanation of how fake things can be, and the last song on the album 'Zzyxz' is surprisingly subtle, using a piano and calm lyrics.The overall sound of the album is a good one, and the lyrics are more focused unlike their debut album, All in all a good album and one that deserves a rating of 9/10
