Ria Valk

Ria Valk was born in Eindhoven on February 11, 1942. She started her career in 1959 as an Elvis impersonator and cowgirl. Her first single 'Rocking Billy' immediately reached number 4 in the top 40. Initially she mainly sang Dutch rock 'n roll music, but later focused on the comic genre with numerous carnival hits.

In the eighties she also scored a few hits, but she also had success again with her older carnival songs. She also acted in the series 'Zeg eens A'

In the nineties she combined her singing career with painting. Nowadays she is mainly engaged in painting, but she cannot resist performing regularly in the party circuit.
