(I know they aren't actually harmonics) (2:09) Guitar 1 plays the same sequence as above. Guitar 2 is playing the 'Laughing guitar' sound, this is created by using a metal slide, and hitting all 6 strings above the pickups, while using the toggle-switch to turn the sound on and off. The pitch of the sound is relative to where you hit the strings. Occasionally Tom strikes the strings, then moves the slide up and back. This will take some experimentation to get. (2:19) Guitar 1 still plays the same thing Guitar 2 is playing the DJ noises, this is achieved by rubbing your left hand across the bottom 2 strings while toggle switching. Tom occasionally throws in Low - E dive bombs with the whammy bar this makes the "MOOoooOOOOOoOOOOO" noise I believe that he is using a phaser and wah to get the 'aquatic' tone. (2:29) (Clean w/Delay as before) e|----------14----------16----------14------------------| B|--------14----------14----------14-----------14--18---| x8 G|------14----------14----------14-----------14---------| D|----16----------16----------16-----------16-----------| A|------------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------------| (3:08) Play the first noise from the solo (Palm muting 16th notes) followed by some of the DJ technique, don't use the phaser time time around however. Alternate between those 2 noises. End with the open strings, and roll back the volume.
