About this Album:

This album is great. It's led zeppelins longest studio album with 15 tracks, which are a really good selection of rock ,folk ,heavy rock and blues.

It starts off with 'custard pie' which is a good rock song with a catchy tune and a good bassline. Number 2 is 'the rover' which is very heavy rock with a real good guitar solo and a solid bass line with a slightly bluesy chorus. Number 3 is 'in my tome of dying' which is an 11 minute long blues/slow rock song in which robert sings about his dying wish. Number 4 is the classic 'houses of the holy' which is a very, very cathy rock song, slightly similar to custard pie, finished off with a good guitar solo. Number 5 is another classic 'trampled underfoot' which is a heavyish rock which goes straight in with the main tune, with fast played funky electric guitar,a heavy, solid bassline and some great drums. Number 6 is yet another classic 'kashmir' with john paul jones playing brilliant synthesized orchestra, jimmy playing background guitar, robert singing of his past and about being lost in a sandstorm, but john bonham has the best drumbeat in this song,if your a drummer, listen to this song, its got such good drums. Number 7 is 'in the light' which starts off with a long synthesized harmonium intro which leads into a rock song which turns into a nice catchy tune by the end, you have to listen to the whole song though to get the full impact. Number 8 is jimmy pages 2 minute guitar instumental 'bron-y-aur' which is a very fast played guitar song about the cottage in which most of the tracks of led zeppelin 3 were written. Number 9 is 'down by the seaside' which is an outtake from the album led zeppelin 3, still it is very good which starts off as a slow soft rock song whick turns into a heavy guitar solo and then back to the original soft rock bit. Number 10 is 'ten years gone' which is a good rock song with a good to learn guitar section.number 11 is 'night flight' which has an extremely catchy tune, its a rock song with amazing drums from bonham and nice organ from jones.number 12 is 'the wanton song' which is a very ,very, very heavy rock song with yet again great drums from john bonham and great guitar from jimmy page as well.number 13 is 'boogie with stu' which is a mixture between blues ,folk ,honky-tonk and rock and roll with honky tonk piano from jones, backing guitar from page ,percussion from bonham, good vocals from plant and also a catchy folky mandolin section from jones aswell.number 14 'black country woman' which was recorded outside and it is a folk song with really good guitar ,nice mandolin, some good drums which come in a bit later and near the end some good harmonica by plant.and finally number 15 is 'sick again' whick is a rock song which i think is a really good closing song for the album.

Of course the album is from mid 1975 so the sound qaulity cant be as good as modern albums but it sounds alot warmer and nicer so i think it has a good sound quality.this is a really great album which if you see you really should buy,its well worth its price whatever it is.

england is the best country in the world, we all know it and we all know that the main reason for that is that led zeppelin come from the good old british isles.

gimme an email if ya agree with my review. Hope you get this album.
