Guidance is a gospel musician, composer, producer and pastor. His first release was in 2017, with the single "Would Have Been" a modern funk song with contemporary elements.
Guidance's influence stems from a lot of modern music with the largest influences being from Usher Raymond and Kirk Franklin. Though it is an Avant-garde mixture of artists he found Usher's performance and delivery to be timeless, and Kirk Franklin's music to bring lyrical depth, heart and soulful melodies. The intention of his music is to remain deep and real, yet packaged in an electric delivery. On every song his intention is to get to your heart before the outro. This theme remains dominant in his visuals which are emphatic, vivacious and theatrical.
His album due early 2018 titled Conviction was named after his own encounter. After the loss of his wife and unborn child, he reached a moment of complete clarity, which he calls “Conviction”. The album is a buffet of different genres, with every song speaking to and deriving identity in God.
