Esti van Rooyen grew up in a talented, musical family.
She studied communication and culture at the university of Port Elizabeth and also completed a diploma in TV presenting and Beauty technology. Esti started her singing career in primary school and her first solo performance was at the age of 10. In 2001 she performed at the SABC music festival with Mandoza and Danny K. Her single “Blessed” was released in 2004 in the UK and it was the first ever South African song to be relased on the Ministry of Sound in the UK. In 2009 she received the ATKV Lier award for best debut album “Geen geheim”. Gospel music followers as well as music lovers who would rather listen to contemporary music – “Ruite breek” is an album that will satisfy the taste of everyone. Esti is a beautiful young star who has released her first single in England in 2004. She has received a ATKV Lier award for the best debut album, and now she is back with her new gospel album “Ruite breek”. The songs on the album are lively and fresh and it promises to explode onto South Africa’s music scene and speak to the hearts of young and old. With her stunning, stylish looks, bubbling personality and big dreams, Esti’s star is shining bright against heaven’s dome and her music will inspire and enrich the lives of many.
