Eddie Rubin

American jazz and rock drummer and composer, born on January 26, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. His repertoire includes rock, jazz, pop, R&B, folk, and blues. Eddie Rubin is known for his performances and record recordings during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s with artists Neil Diamond, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Johnny Rivers, Dexter Gordon, Ornette Coleman, Paul Revere & The Raiders, and was a band member of the Don Randi Trio. Eddie started his drumming career working small gigs at local clubs. His success eventually came after he and Johnny Rivers were given an offer to play opening night as the first house band at the famed Whisky a Go Go club in Hollywood, California on the Sunset Strip.
