Brothers With Voices

Brothers With Voices Cape Town is a very talented and determined vocal ensemble of 9 young men from Imizamo Yethu, Mandela Park, Hout Bay.

They sing their own original material and popular South African songs which they have adapted to their traditional style of 'Isicathamiya'. The energetic group was founded in 2001 out of a deep passion for music and an intense need to reflect their experiences of growing up, living and surviving in a township in the ‘new’ South Africa . The dedicated singers have continued to make a name for themselves despite the immense obstacles they are constantly faced with due to their socio-economic background.

In winter 2007 the group was discovered by South Africa's Indie Pop Idol Ike Moriz who fell in love with their heart warming and moving songs of struggle, hope and love. He has since worked closely with these aspiring vocal acrobats and is introducing them to a wider audience on a quest of fulfilling their dream of opening the world's hearts to their beautiful music.

BWV has since recorded their very first album, produced by Ike Moriz, called “Peace Dream". The title track is a Xhosa remix of Ike’s song off his “All Around The World” album!

Eliqela (labunjwa) lasekwa ngo 2001 ngenjongo zokuphuwisa umdla wabo kumculo ukuze babheke phambili bakwazi ukuphila kulo Mzantsi Afrika mtsha. Ababaculi bazinikezeleyo bakwazile ukuzenzela igama nangona imiqobo abajongene nayo isekhona ngakumbi kwicala lezomnotho.

Ebusika buka 2007 eliqela ladibana ne South Africa indie pop idol umnu Ike Moriz owabathanda ngentliziyo yakhe yonke Ethanda ingoma zabo zomzabalazo, ezethemba nothando. Waqala ukusebenza nabo ukusukela ngoko. Ebazisa kwinginya yabantu ukuze kuzaliseke iphupha labo lokuvula iintliziyo zelizwe ngomculo wabo.
