Graham Dalby zegt over dit lied: "I believe this is an old crusader song that made it's way back to England to be popular in the early 16th century. The young Henry VIII must have been very familiar with the tune as he lifted much of it for his Passetyme with Good Companye circa 1515. Setting of the Mass were made by Tye, Taverner and Shepherd using this melody as the cantus firmus. The lyrics cry for the Western Wind to bring some rain to this poor knight who wishes to be back home in his bed sheltering his lover in the warmth of his bed as the rain pours down."

Westron wynde, when wilt thou blow
The smalle rain down can rain
Christ, if my love were in my arms
And I in my bed again

Westron wynde, when wilt thou blow
The smalle rain down can rain
Christ, if my love were in my arms
And I in my bed again
