Travis - 20 gitaar tab
Je score:
Travis ? 20 As played live on stage at Glastonbury 2000. Also b-side to "All I Wanna Do Is Rock" from "Good Feeling". Tabbed by Mark Jones 14/10/00. This is a fantastic "coming of age" song by Fran Healy. This song is best played acoustic, and reasonably fast. Chords required are below, and are constant throughout the verses if the song. Afraid I don't know some of the names properly so have just put the root, I just play 'em. If anyone wants to provide names please feel free. Capo: 3rd fret (although on recording it's at the 2nd, see where you feel most comfortable). G : 320033 G* : x20033 C : x32010 C* : x32033 D : xx0232 Dsus4: xx0233 D* : xx0130 D** : xx0320 Intro is G C* G G (when playing the G's try periodically lifting your fingers off the E and A strings to play 000033, for a kind of rhythmic effect). Verse 1: G D G Sure it's a gas G C D You're stuck in an English class D D* D Can't even dream G D C So it's hard to accept the role you're given G D C When you're sitting there staring at the ceiling G D C* G* D Wishing you were so very far from her------e G C* G G When you're 13 Verse 2: What fors and whys If he's got it why can't I You're my queen And I dream about you when I'm in my bed And if all of these things are like you said Then I'd rather be in another scene When I'm 14 Verse 3: It's just not fair I'm not getting anywhere Hard as a stone They expect us to make it all alone Then they scream at us when we're on the phone Then they lecture us all about routine When you're 15 Verse 4: Get out of here You're crowding my tender years Don't say you see Cos you've forgotten what's it's like to be And I'm sure that its changed to some degree And Christ the vice ain't ever as it seems When you're 16 Refrain (strum intro chords until you feel it's right to continue) Verse 5: 4 years go Before and before you know You're now of age And you're thrown into a different cage And you're faced with another blank page And I know I don't need to be told D D** Dsus4 D Ooooh (* 4) End with intro chords, played to a crescendo, then slowed down. Finish on G. Listen to / buy the recordings for the timings and have fun. I've noticed that the only general available Travis tab is largely that which is available through their official web site, so come on if you have any other songs submit them. Cheers, Mark ;-)
