Thin Lizzy - Whiskey In The Jar (traditional) gitaar tab
Je score:
Band: Traditional Irish Folk Version Tabbed By: Johnny + Monky Ok heres the original folk version of Whiskey In The Jar, Don't get it mixed up with the Thin Lizzy version cause' the words are changed and the tempo is slower. Use the G-barre chord and possably the D-7 Chord on the 3rd Position or the D barre chord on the 10th fret, Use the normal C and E minor chords. Make your own strumming pattern up or use the one i used which was : 1 2 3&4&5, use down strokes on the first two beats. Have fun! G AS I WAS GOING OVER, Em THE KIL-MA-GENNY MOUNTAIN, C I MET CAPTAIN FARREL AND G HIS MONEY HE WAS COUNTING I FIRST PRODUCED MY PISTOL, AND Em THEN I DREW MY SABRE, SAYING C G STAND AND DE-LIVER FOR I AM A BOLD DECIEVER. CHORUS G D WITH A RING DUM A DOO-DLE UM DAH, Em WHACH FOR THE DADDY -O C WHACH FOR THE DADDY -O G D G THERES WHISKEY IN THE JAR -O. SOLO E|---------------------- x3 then |-------------------------- A|---------------------- |-------------------------- D|---------------------- |----------H-----BU-------- G|--7-9----9---7--9----- |-0-2-4---0-2-0-2-(4)-4-0-- B|-----7-8---7------8-8- |-------3------------------ E|---------------------- |-------------------------- The solo is similar to the Thin Lizzy one but is slightly altered in places. During the solo there should be and another guitarist struming through the chords, with the correct timing the solo should end just before he plays the chorus and so the singer comes back in for the chorus, a good amount of timing required but you wont be disapointed
