Wie is Peter? Het moet een vriend van Taylor geweest zijn. Het zou Matty Healy kunnen zijn met wie ze bijna een date had in 2014. Matty vocht toen om zijn verslaving te overwinnen. Het zou kunnen, want Taylor zingt “You said you were going to grow up, then you were gonna come and find me”.

Of trekt Taylor een vergelijking met Peter Pan en Wendy. Peter was immers de leider van een groep jongens, die The Lost Boys werd genoemd. Zie laatste couplet. Als dat zo is, dan is Taylor Wendy. Aanvankelijk gegrepen door de magie van Peter's liefde om later weer met beide benen op de grond te staan.
