As the daylight fades away

Our chairs come out

And cool is all we know

The cold can't phase us on these last days of summer

Remember the cops on the golf course

And the nights with only the TV's blue glow

All coming to an end

The daze of autumn approaches

Talk of gas-money and girlfriends

And how we didn't need them anyway

But if we did, we treat them right

Show the world that good guys could finish first
