Je score:
Artist: Soulfood 76 Song: "Praise God (93' demo version)" Album: Velour (retrospective) Lyrics written by Daniel Fairbanks; Music by Soulfood 76. P&C 1997 Freedom Records division of Malaco Records, Inc. Malaco Music (BMI) / Slick Jackson (BMI). "tabbed" by Jonathan Kuhfuss (e-mail: jkuhf@aol.com) Chords: E (022100); D (XX0232); A (X02220); F# (244322); D[2nd fret] (XX2454); B (X24442). Alright! After listening to this song for months (and loving it oh so very much :-), I was given "the ears to hear" it relative to my guitar. God Rocks!!! and so does this song, both lyrically and musically! It was kind of hard put the chords with the lyrics, so i didn't. also b/c it didn't look quite right, a lot of the words sung are held for longer periods of time then others, so the chords got all srunged up when really the strum and the timing for chord changes stay the same throughout. NOTE: For lack of a better name we shall call D[2nd fret] "D2". intro: EDAD [2x] (continue struming this until chorus) Verse 1: Praise God for His Mercy! Praise God for His Mercy! Praise God for His Mercy! Praise God for His Mercy that lives in me! I know He lives in me! Praise God for His Mercy! Praise God for His Mercy that lives in me! I know He lives in me! chorus (continue struming as before with chords: F# D2 B D2): People singing, creation bringing (praise to Your Name) And I look around (at the world today) and Your Alive!!! Verse 2 (back to EDAD with contineous strum): Praise God for His Mercy! Praise God for His Mercy that lives in me! I know He lives in me! By the power of Your Spirit You change the way I feel And inside know that You can heal my broken heart again! You heal my broken heart again! Back to Chorus Bridge (comes directly after the chorus is sung once with the F# D2 B D2 chords and that good ol' *Soulfood strum*): I sing Hallelujah! singin' Hallelujah! singin' Hallelujah! to Messiah I praise You Jesus I worship Father come Holy Spirit come in my life again I worship Jesus! I worship Jesus! If you didn't notice, the F#, D[2nd fret], and B chords are just the E, D, and A chords on the second fret, so I suggest baring them, on the second fret. The strum is, as far as I can tell, the same throughout, except the very end, where they slow the strum down and end on F#. If you listen to it enough you'll get a feel for it, if u haven't heard the song, it's going to be one tough cookie. psalms 61
