Het lied gaat over de Falkland oorlog. Inzet waren de Falklandeilanden die ten zuidwesten van Argentinië liggen. De eilanden zijn in bezit van Engeland. Op 2 april 1982 bezette het Argentijnse leger de eilanden. De verwachting was dat Engeland toch niet zou reageren. Dat was echter een misrekening. De toenmalige premier Margaret Thatcher (The Iron Maiden) stuurde een special task force en heroverde de Falklandeilanden. De oorlog kostte 649 Argentijnen en 258 Britten het leven.
