This album is what i would call their second best! it rox! itz the sort of album that every song sounds totally diffrent. i love the song "it's not a fashion statement, it's a deathwish" because of the change of rhythem hafe way through the song. The songs have a good beat and are great for playing air guitar (which i have done on numerus occasions) i'm in wuv with this band! MCR ROX

My Chemical Romance is definitely one of the best groups in the progressive rock movement that has been ongoing for the past few years. They bring a crisp, melodic punk sound combined with a flare of metal from the wailing vocals that overlay their driving guitar riffs. The three best tracks by far are "Helena", "I'm Not OK", and my personal favorite "To the End". They sound very original, even when compared to other groups of the same genre. The only downsides are that some of the lyrics are a bit lacking, and toward the end of the album it gets a little monotonous. Overall, however, this is definitely an album worth owning.

'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge' is the latest album by My Chemical Romance.
Gerard Way uses his emotional voice which helps get acrss the feelings he has written into the 13 tracks on the album.
The songs are also full of neat guittar solos.
It includes the hit 'I'm Not Okay (I Promise).
I have this album and I think that it's fricken amazing.
A MUST BUY!

When MCR burst onto the scene with their genre-shattering, mind-altering debut "i brough you my bullets, you brought me your love" everyone (critics included) where lost for words. It was an album worthy of success that unfortunately, it didnt get. Well, TCFSR is an album of such unfathomable brilliance, that if MCR dont get noticed for this, they never will.
Things explode to life with album opener "helena" fast, agressive verses followed by a slower sugar coated chorus. To say the album floats along nicely from there would be the understatement of the century! Every track on this album kicks you in the crotch and pierces thru your skull like a kamikaze watermelon on speed. Every song has MAJOR single potential. There's not an ounce of filler on this cd. (except maybe the interlude but it obviously holds some sort of in-explicable purpose else it wouldnt be there)
As far as lyrics go, Gerard Way is miles ahead of half of his counterparts.
The use of b-movie imagery on this album ("i took a train out of new orleans and they shot me full of emphadrine, this is how we like to do it in the murder scene"-give 'em hell kid) is truly breathtaking. As is Gerards storytelling. Tales of a mass-slaughter at a wedding (to the end), a schizophrenic murderer who isnt sure whether he's innocent or guilty(you know what they do to guys like us in prison), a necrophiliac who is having a very sexual affair with a corpse in a graveyard (cemetery drive) and a pact with the devil (I never told you what I do for a living) all surface and are delivered impeccably.
Technically, his band arent to be outdone. they show how well they can play their instruments on tracks like "thank you for the venom". and it really is staggering.
The standout tracks are very obviously, the murderous "to the end", the ganster movie style "you know what they do to guys like us in prison" and the sinister pop number "Im not okay(i promise)" and the darkly sentimental "the ghost of you" . But they are just diamonds in a bucket of gems if you know what I mean.
Overall, this album rocks MAJORLY. And any1 who likes Alkaline Trio, AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, and maybe even thursday or brand new to an extent, will ADORE this album.
My chemical romance are here for the long haul.
