Mudvayne - Negative Ver 2 bass tab
Je score:
I?ve been a huge MuDvAyNe fan since L.D. 50 came out, so I know my stuff and I?ve done my research when it comes to playing a lot of their songs. I?m sick of horrible tabs for -1 so here is the best one out there in my mind. This is my favorite on the album. Ryknow/Ru-D tunes to G#, B, F#, B, E on the entire cd, this song included. The G# is not used on this song so I?m not going to include in the tab. This is my first tab here so rate it and if you guys like it I?ll put up more. Dig will probably be next, since there are so many terrible tabs for that as well. h-hammer-on p-pull-off sl-slide X-muted note ( )-harmonic /-slide Bass comes in at 0:09- Figure 1a Play X4 E |----------------------------------------------| B |----------------------------------------------| F#|---0h4---------------------0h4----------------| B |3p0---3p0---3p0-X-0-0---3p0---3p0---3p0-0-0--0| This is the main riff but Ryknow does throw slight little variations in such as an extra muted note or an extra short open note, listen for these. At 0:29/0:30 play- Figure 1b Play X1 E |----------------------------------------------| B |----------------------------------------------| F#|---0h4---------------------0h4----------(12)--| B |3p0---3p0---3p0-X-0-0---3p0---3p0---3p0-------| The harmonic is hard to hear but it?s there, trust me. Play 1a X1 At 0:40 play- Figure 1a X2 At 0:50-(Chorus) Play Figure 1a X4 For this part accent the notes more to get more of his sound, and don?t play muted notes, play them as 0 instead. At 1:10 play- Figure 1a X4 At 1:30/1:31 play- Figure 1b X1 Figure 1a X1 At 1:41 play- Figure 1a X2 At 1:51-(Chorus) Play Figure 1a X4 Play just as last chorus At 2:10/2:11 Play X4 E |----------------------| B |----------------------| F#|---0h4----------------| B |3p0---3p0---3p0-0-0-0-| This riff has no changes, play it the same way all 4 times. This part comes right before the middle/interlude part of the song. At 2:21 play- Play until 2:37 E |--------------------------------| B |--------------------------------| F#|--------------------------------| B |2h3-2h3-5p3-2h3-2h3-2h3-5p3-5p3-| The first time through don?t play the first two hammer-on?s, it?s a weird feel, but listen and you?ll get it At 2:38 play- Play X4 E |-----------------------------| B |------------------------XX--X| F#|------------------------XX--X| B |2h3-2h3-5p3-2h3-2h3-2h3-XX--X| The 4th time only mute once. This part sounds cool if you mute the G#, B, F# strings for the low percussive effect. Ryknow scrapes the string with the tops of his fingernails and his thumbnail with a hard up and down motion, sounds very cool. At 2:49 play- Figure 2 Play until 3:18 E |-------------------------------------------| B |-------------------------------------------| F#|---0h4----------------------0h4------------| B |2h5---3p0---3p0-0-0-0----2h5---3p0--3p0-0-0| !!!Slap all these notes!!! Play this about 2 ? time; he over laps and switches to the same exact riff but without slapping. At 3:08 play- E |-------------------------------------------| B |-------------------------------------------| F#|---0h4---------------------0h4---------(12)| B |2h5---3p0---3p0-0-0-0---2h5---3p0--3p0-----| At 3:14 play- Figure 2 X1 At 3:26/3:27-(Chorus) Play Figure 1a X1 At 3:31 play- Play X1 E |-----------------------------------------| B |-----------------------------------------| F#|---0h4--------------------0h4------------| B |3p0---3p0---3p0-0-0-0--3p0---3p0--3p0-17/| Then Play Figure 1a until 3:46 At 3:47 (Outro) play- E |----------------------------------------------| B |------------------XX--X-------------------XXXX| F#|---0h4--------0h4-XX--X----0h4--------0h4-XXXX| B |3p0---3p0--3p0----XX--X-3p0---3p0--3p0----XXXX| (Ourto, cont.) E |----------------------------------------------| B |------------------XX--X-------------------XX-X| F#|---0h4--------0h4-XX--X----0h4--------0h4-XX-X| B |3p0---3p0--3p0----XX--X-3p0---3p0--3p0----XX-X| (Outro, cont.) E |----------| B |----------| F#|---0h4----| B |3p0---3p0-| Well, that?s all of it. I can assure you it?s the best one on the web. It?s an easy song, just listen to it for timings and structure. Enjoy! MuDvAyNe is the best band ever!!! Tabbed by Strongarms E-Mail: Mudvayne1901@aol.com; questions, comments, complaints?
