It was a steamy summer night, on the asbury boardwalk
I was hanging out with Dr. Bob, 
Long haired mike, and chuck

We were killing time, 
Until we jammed with bruce at the upstage
We were oh so cool, but the night was so hot
I saw her across the boardwalk, she was in the arcade 
She was standing with all her friends, 
Yet she seemed all alone
I hung around outside until she noticed me
I was lookin good, and just showing off 

She was cool, she was hot
I really wanted her a lot 
We both knew we'd be leaving together 
She called her folks on the phone
And said she wouldn't be home
It was a night i'll always remember
