Een single van Golden Earring uit hun album op de vooravond van hun grote doorbraak. Het album zelf doet het wat minder, maar Buddy Joe wordt een grote hit. Buddy Joe komt uit in juni 1972, het jaar dat de fut bijna uit Golden Earring is omdat de doorbraak niet wil lukken. In datzelfde jaar 1972 mogen ze het voorprogramma doen van The Who en een jaar later breken ze toch door met Radar Love.
