Things seem to get less tense

Things seem to make more sense

The stuff that bothers me well it's still there

But suddenly I don't really seem to care

And people don't seem to be all that bad 

Situations don't get me quite so mad

And I know that absolutely nothing has changed but suddenly it feels like everything's been rearranged

Pride and ego start winding down

Hate and mistrust are buried underground

And I'm not so hard-pressed to be everybody's friend

Cause I know that everything will work out in the end 

And times getting more valuable everyday

And it all seems way too important not to say

And everything will be so different in a year

As the world keeps turning and our lives are just a gift

Temporary loss of long-term memory

Downtown traffic and the technicalities

And I feel too good to let it all get to me
