Although they've yet to release an album, the York boys have enjoyed a stellar 2007, landing a support gig with Fall Out Boy and pushing 'Jessica', their drool-drenched ode to Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba, all the way into the top 20. Follow-up single 'The White One Is Evil' is one hell of a musical grab-bag, pilfering a hint of Muse-style classical dramatics, a bit of Chili Peppers phonkayness and the sort of guitar solo that Brian May should really have trademarked by now. Sadly, Elliot Minor are in such desperate throes to US pop-punk that 'White One' winds up sounding like a slightly less boisterous Busted. Though, if we're entirely honest, it's not exactly 'Year 3000' in the tune department. source digitalspy.co.uk
