This morning in the paper
I read about a man who had sacrificed and worked hard all his life
He said he bought a ticket to some big lottery
And just like that, his life changed overnight

Well, as I read about him
A thought occurred to me
If he could be this lucky
Then I have to believe

She could call from right out of the blue
Saying, boy, I'm still in love with you
Saying, she forgives me for the fool I was
And all I put her through
If a life can change in just one night
Who's to say that she can't change her mind
Miracles happen, everyday

Just last Sunday morning
I found myself in church, a place I hadn't been since I was young
Maybe I was taught too little, maybe I was taught too much
But it's the last place on this Earth I thought I'd come

And in searching for the answer
It became so clear to me
If I could be here praying
That's all the proof I need
