Het lied is een eerbetoon aan de band U2 en Ali Hewson. Ali Hewson is een Ierse anti-atoom activiste en de vrouw van zanger Paul Hewson, beter bekend als Bono van de band U2.

Zij werd aktiviste na het zien van een documentaire die de gevolgen laat zien van de Chernobyl verschrikking. In 1986 was er een ontploffing in de kerncentrale te Chernobyl. Radioaktieve stoffen kwamen vrij en verspreidden zich over enorme gebieden in Rusland en Europa. Velen raakten besmet. 'Chernobyl Children International' is een organisatie die hulp verleend aan de nakomelingen van de ramp.

De opbrengst van dit lied, uitgebracht op een single. is bestemd voor deze organisatie.
