Am I the only one? No others dare to seek
Answers within the world, signs showing what this world means

I ground a set of lenses and trained them on the stars
I quantified the evening skies, examined every part
I analyzed the glory of a thousand cosmic shapes
And watched the glory fade
I searched across the face of God
And found just empty space

I built my new laboratory to shelter from the world

But soon surmised my lenses weren't sufficient to display
