Stuck in the middle
Is such a dangerous place to be
But at least it ain't as bad
Nor as lonely as
The position known as neutral

There's always mutterings
And talk of who was where,
Of who did what, and to whom
The story's everywhere.
If you stick around just long enough
You might get dragged through the mud
Where there ain't no light passing through,
And not a damned thing ever gets done.

There's all these things
That I would really like to say,
But you know I never can seem to
Find the right time of the day
Things that cross my mind,
They're just taking up time
Never can string together what to say
At the right time of the day.
