Biography for Ben Wolf
Belgian bedroom pop artist Ben Wolf (Benjamin Dewulf) believes in the power of work and consistency. Inspired by artists like Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles, his music is always driven by introspection and a constant drive to improve.
After experiencing life-changing grief, the artist’s desire to create music came from the need to express his emotions through art, “I picked up the pen for the first time on the night after my best friend passed away. (...) At that moment I felt numb, but wanted to feel something. (...) I wrote her a letter, but that didn’t suffice.”
With a strong work ethic and laser-focused mentality, a newfound perspective gave him the courage to forsake his studies of medicine in favor of pursuing a career in music, maintaining his love for learning and self-growth, “I value self-development more than anything”.
During two years of close mentorship with producer James Lowland, Ben Wolf released his first two singles “Ultraviolet” and “Try Again, Tomorrow” in 2020, followed by the release of his first EP “Now You Know” in 2021. He has also collaborated with other artists, such as Belgian artist WAYI, for whom he wrote the song “Mind Mazes”, reaching the first spot on Belgium’s “Bubbling Under” chart.
The artist signed with the Swedish label Rexius Records in May 2022, kickstarting a fruitful collaboration that will surely bring great music in the future.
