brilliant. The album is really good the songs really mix well. and you can hear the different genres of the members taste in music really coming through. I think it's funny how people say 'oh they just scream nonsense' but in fact they have hard hitting vocal lines with REAL meanings which mix wel with the funky bass punky guitar and kind of punky metal drums by aaron realy add the edge to this cd. songs like red flag show their mellower side but then just HIT with the corus then back to the nice light verse. well done guys, really well done.

This Album was excellent, it was worth listening to. All the songs got awsome guitars and drum's. The bass lines were nuts on the cd. The one that dont fit in is the navy song. It dont fit in with the rest of the music on the album. Other than that i loved the album. I can listen to it for days and the pictures for each song was pretty good to i like the red flag picture and the pin and needles picture well that's about it for me.

How could anyone ever listen to this junk? What the heck do they think they're doing, acting like little kids when they have temper tantrum, screaming into a microphone that desperatley needs to be turned down. Ya, there is a bit of melody, but nothing drastic. They's rather just yell and scream to show their anger, and sweat like a bundled up toddler in the midst of flames. They swear like they think it's the law to every sentence, and savvy misunderstood lyrics. I don't know they made it possible to get to making a second album, because the first one sucked too! Please add this, because I want people to realize how immature Billy (no) Talent.
Live with it

For a sophmore album, I think Billy talent does a good job trying to live upto expectations. They have advanced lyrically, musically. You can hear that Ian has improved on his guitar skills and so has Jon and Aaron on their respecitve instruments. Bens screaming is not seen much on this album (which I personally would miss). Their 1st album had a lot of anger and screaming which made them stand out. The only song that doesn't really fit in the album would be "where is the line?" and " coveredin cowardice". All other songs are good or excellent. The last four songs, "The NAVY SONG", "PERFECT WORLD", "SYMPATHY", "BURN THE EVIDENCE" are really catchy and awesome. The only lyrics I didn't enjoy was the part in Perfect world, where they sing " Control ALt Delete" ( I felt as though they ran out of words). Overall, the album is enjoyable, at the same time I would've liked it if Ben screams more. Most importantly, albums dont mean shit, when they play LIVE>>> You'll fucking love them!

The new billy talent ablum, billy talent ll, is in my opinion an exellant follow up to "billy talent". I may have a biast opinion on this.. but i will do my best to be fair.... it must have been hard to follow up on their extreamly succsesful first album, so i give them props for attempting to continue on in spite of the huge expectations whit a succsessful first album. But now to talk about the album it's self:
personally... some songs i feel start out slow and well... not so good but they do have a strong finish, and yes.. i am a sucker for Bens scream!
also.. being a fellow musician, i belive that the musical aspect on this album is very good, if not exellent, both on guitar and bass and drums, they have very catchy riffs as well as pumping solos or beats that make you wanna crank it up past ten and just scream!!!!
i do like the lyrics, they are very powerful, and easy to relate to.. and the controversal material in some songs is good too.. you won't solve anything by sitting in the corner hiding, i think the band taking time off to vist family and get back into the system to be able to write good songs has paid off.
the One thing i did not really like, or understand was the album artwork... mroe just some pages of the booklet and the front cover.. but thats just me, also, i find some songs kinad too catchy such as where is the line? and worker bees,
in other words.. a very good follow up sophmore album to there first one

Being a fan of Billy Talent make sit difficult for me to say what I really think of this album...but my real opinion is that the band could have done better. Their first single, 'Devil in a Midnight Mass,' was very energetic, and also was based on a very controversial theme. Don't get me wrong, I love it when bands take controversial topics and make them into killer songs. But,with 'Devil in a Midnight Mass' as track one on their album, they couldn't keep up with what they had started on some of the later tracks. 'Red Flag' was also a very energetic song, however I didn't enjoy this particular release of the song, in contrast with the earlier version(s) of the song. One of the weakest songs on the album, in my opinion, would have to be 'Burn the Evidence,' which, unfortunately for the band, is the last song on the album. Hey guys, aren't you supposed to leave the audience with something good to remember? All in all, the playing in between was average, probably hitting a high note for me on 'The Navy Song,' or 'Where is the Line?'
The album art for 'Billy Talent II' was very creative. They prettied up the inside booklet with well-created pictures to coincide with the lyrics of the song on the opposite page. The cover of the album was simplistic, yet it still made a lasting impression on those who viewed it. (In my experience, the infamous snarling mouth of a band member left me with nightmares). Probably the worst point of the album was the name. I mean, the name 'Billy Talent II' may have seemed ingenious at the time of it's creation, but it does not leave a good impression with the band's fans. In fact, it almost gives off a sort-of 'we don't care' vibe. That kind of vibe may appeal to some, but I would haev preferred a vibe that is more in the creative side.
One last note: putting stars in the place of the final letters of the two only swear words in the entire album was thoughtful; especially if the band did this while keeping in mind their possibly younger fans.
