GUERRILLA RADIO - Rage Against the Machine This is another cool RATM song....and easy... The intro, bridge and Solo are double tracked in this song you need a whammy, a wah and a flanger and a tremelo i've done both guitar parts. They are one on top of eachother. They are synchronized so that when gt 1 plays a note, gt2's note is directly underneath it. (you'll work it out) INTRO gt 1 plays with TREMELO here i really can't stress that enough =======REPEATx16=======| } E -----------------------| } B -----------------------|G } I G -----------------------|T } D ------------------2--4-|1 } N A 2--4--4--2-4--2-4-0--2-| } E 0--2--2--0-2--0-2------| } T } E -----------------------| } R B -----------------------|G } G -----------------------|T } O D -----------------------|2 } A ------------------0--2-| } E 0--2--2--0-2-0-2-------| } 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & CHORUS ========REPEATx7=======| E -----------------------|-----------------| B -----------------------|-----------------| G -----------------------|2-------1--------| D -----------------------|-----------------| A ------------------0--2-|-----------------| E 0--2--2--0-2-0-2-------|--22220---22220--| 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & VERSE this is just wah(i think it might be auto-wah) o = full bass (all the way back) + = full treble (all the way forward) =======REPEATx15=======| E -----------------------|-----------------------| B -----------------------|-----------------------| G -----------------------|-----------------------| D -----------------------|-----------------------| A -----------------------|-----------------------| E 02-2--02-2--02-2--02-2-|02---------------------| 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & o+ o+ o+ o+ o+ REPEAT CHORUS REPEAT VERSE (play first measure x7 instead of x15) REPEAT CHORUS (last measure is the same as the first 7 i.e. play the first measure 8x) BRIDGE turn on the flanger and the wah.... make a wide sweeping "motion" w/ the wah over the whole measure... ========REPEATx8=======|========REPEATx8=======| } E -----------------------|-----------------------| } B B -----------------------|-----------------------|G } G -----------------------|-----------------------|T } R D -----------------------|-----------------------|1 } A ------------------0--2-|------------------0--2-| } I E 0--2--2--0-2-0-2-------|0--2--2--0-2-0-2-------| } } D E -----------------------|-----------------------| } B -----------------------|-----------------------|G } G G -----------------------|-----------------------|T } D -----------------------|-----------------------|2 } E A -----------------------|------------------0--2-| } E -----------------------|0--2--2--0-2-0-2-------| } 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & GUITAR SOLO from what i know, what I've seen and the capabilities of my guitar, I'm pretty sure this is how Tom plays the solo: use the toggle switch and the wah and set the whammy to harmonize up two octaves. These are all hammer-ons w/ the left hand. Neck pickup vol. 0, Bridge pickup vol. 10.... ok...now the toggling pattern.... whenever you hammer-on, flick the switch to the bridge.... observe the notation..N = neck pickup, B = brigde pickup =======REPEATx2========| E -----------------------|-----------------------|--------------------------------| B -----------------------|-----------------------|--------------------------------|G G -----------------------|-----------------------|--------------------------------|T D -----------------------|-----------------------|--------------------------------|1 A -----------------12----|-----------------12----|--------------------------------| E 14--12-14--12-14-------|14--12-14--12-14-------|0--------------///////////////16| + o + o + + o + o + o + o o o o o o o o + + + + + + + + + NB NB NB NB NB NB NB NB NB NB BNBNBNBNBNBNBNB E -----------------------|-----------------------| B -----------------------|-----------------------|G G -----------------2-----|-----------------2--4--|T D 4---2--4---2--4--------|4---2--4---2--4--------2| A -----------------------|-----------------------| E -----------------------|-----------------------| =======REPEATx2========| E -----------------------|-----------------------|------------------| B -----------------------|-----------------------|------------------|G G -----------------------|-----------------------|------------------|T D -----------------------|-----------------------|------------------|1 A 14--12-14--14^14-12----|14--12-14--14^14-12----|----16-15/16-13---| E -------------------14--|-------------------1412|14----------------| E -----------------------|-----------------------|7---6-----5--4----| B -----------------------|-----------------------|7---6-----5--4----|G G 4---2--4---------------|4---2--4---------------|7---6-----5--4----|T D -----------------------|-----------------------|------------------|2 A -----------------------|-----------------------|------------------| E -----------------------|-----------------------|------------------| N.B. - this is the studio version of the solo, tabbed for two guitars he does it differently, playing the GT1 part and having the whammy set to one ocatve harmonise.....
