Primus - My Name Is Mud Ver 5 bass tab

Je score:

artist: Primus
song: My Name is Mud
album: Pork Soda
bassist: Les Claypool

Ok, here's the deal: All the tabs I've seen for "My Name is Mud"
have been horribly butchered. I mean, some people make it a harder
song than it really is. In fact, this is probably the easiest Primus
song out there, at least in my opinion. Here's how it should go.
It's played on a 6-string fretless, but can be played on a fretted bass
and a 5-string, as long as you have a low B-string.

Riff 1 (The beginning): (\\\= Slide down)

 Riff 2:

 A:--------------------------------------------------- an octave X 4
 E:-------------2h3---------------2h3-----------------
 B:-1h2---1h2---------1h2---1h2-----------------------
 Riff 3:
This part is what everyone makes so difficult. You just mute the strings
with the palm of your picking hand, and you slap with your thumb (T) and
hammer on with your first (1) and fourth (4) fingers in a triplet rhythm.
 C:-----------------------------------------------
 G:-----------------------------------------------
 D:-----------------------------------------------
 A:-----------------------------------------------
 E:-----------------------------------------------
 B:-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-----x-x-x-x-x-x-x---------------
    T 1 4 T 1 4 T T 1 4 T 1 4 T

Claypool adds in random fills throughout the song and sone octave slides
as well. Just follow the song to figure out what goes where. Oh, and by
the way, the part before he says "Where you going, cityboy?" is just him
Hitting the open B string with some heavy distortion, and the last note of
the song are the harmonics on the 5th fret hitting all 6 strings.

And that's it! There's nothing to it!
