Hello Mr. Poe, I'd like to know

Where you were going when you wrote that poem

The one that says life's just a dream

Well your despair is bursting at the seams

You seem to have a lot of bad days

So now I have some things that I would like to say

 

Yeah I'll fly away

On my dreams today

Take this kiss and let it fix all that I ever tried to say

We've all walked a path ahead

Of where we knew its passage led

When our hope is lost it's hard to find

But you can catch it crossing

 

My dream within my dreams tonight

If life's not what it seems

You might be looking at it from an angle that's got no degrees

Your dreams are not a fantasy
Your mind is not a cavity

This life is not a remedy for never having lived

There must be more to this

 

Now at twenty years I find

That I still have some tears to cry

For broken toys that can't avoid being sold for two cent lies

But as you surely fall apart

You'll find your way to someone's heart

Someone strong enough to take your love and show you how to start

 

To dream within your dreams

And if you don't know what that means

You're in good company

'Cause no one really knows where it will go this week

But as for me I'll stand and sing

'Cause that's my dream
