people loose each other in time 
by living on their private islands 
in the sea far away from here 
far away from you and me 
people hide themselves every moment 
when it’s all coming down to  them 
as a shower of rain or when the dark clouds 
turn the blue sky into black 
people drowning in their selfish behaviour 
when they have to give some love 
people are careful with their pride 
  
don’t let them get you down 
don’t let them bring you to the ground 
don’t let them get you down 
don’t let them choose the way you have to live 

people pretend they cannot see 
the suffering and the pain 
that some have to go through in their life 
to reach the better days 
people don’t want to lose their own dignity 
but they don’t really care 
about the ones beside 
like you and me 
people want to control everything that moves 
everything they can touch   
everything that they can take and make it their own 

don’t let them get you down 
don’t let them bring you to the ground 
don’t let them get you down 
don’t let them choose the way you have to live 

it’s all a part of your life 
that’s a part of a game 
it’s a part of a game of the game of life 
we’re not talking bout illusions 
we’re talking bout the bloody truth 
don’t tell me all confusion that’s just a way out for you
