Locked the apartment door last suitcase in the truck 

Backin' outta the drive in shotgun buckled up 

Hand in hand we want some space to breathe 

A temporary break from reality 



Roll the windows down feel that warm summer air ?

Take off your old ball cap run my fingers through your hair

Drive past the office where we spend eight hours everyday

Leave that stress behind baby throw it away	

Where we're headed we don't know 

Just cruising down the open road





Maybe the mountains, maybe the coast

Maybe wherever, cause what matters most

Is the moment here together

We're learnin' how to live in the here and now





Sunflower field to the left passed the city limit sign

Combine to the right underneath the clear blue sky?

Static on the radio between each small town?


Only stop for gas, nothing else to slow us down



Count the cars we pass with each and every mile?

Blue punch buggy, I hit your arm and we both smile?

We haven't laughed like this since who knows when

We're falling in love all over again

Where we're headed we don't know
