Je score:
SHE'S A STAR - JAMES Tabbed by Steve K (Worked out to be played on the acoustic guitar. I've added some optional bits I thought sounds nice) * = optional >From the album: "Whiplash" Intro: G [3 x 0 0 3 3] G/Gb [2 x 0 0 3 3] Cadd9 [x 3 x 0 3 3] Dsus4 [x 0 0 2 3 3] D* [x 0 0 2 3 2] (x3) The first 2 chords of the intro build it up like the original, it sounds good. I.E down strokes on the E A and D strings only. Don't worry about the A string its deadened anyhow. And like the original when the drums kick in strum with it until the Cadd9 and carry on as normal with the typical rhythm. Tab for the other chords :- A7sus4 [x 0 2 0 3 3] Em/D [0 2 2 0 3 3] G G/Gb Whenever she's feeling empty Cadd9 Dsus4 D* Whenever she's feeling insecure G G/Gb Whenever her face is frozen Cadd9 Dsus4 D* G G/Gb Cadd9 Dsus4 D* Unable to fake it anymore G G/Gb Her shadow is always with her Cadd9 Dsus4 D* Her shadow could always keep her small G G/Gb C So frightened that he won't love her Dsus4 D* She builds up a wall A7sus4 Cadd9 Dsus4 Cadd9 Oh no, she knows where to hide in the dark A7sus4 Cadd9 Dsus4 D* Oh no, she's nowhere to hide in the dark G G/Gb Cadd9 Dsus4 D* She's a star D* G G/Gb Cadd9 Dsus4 She's a star G G/Gb She's been in disguise forever Cadd9 Dsus4 D* She's tried to disguise her stellar views G G/Gb Cadd9 Much brighter than all this static Dsus4 D* Now she's coming through A7sus4 Cadd9 Dsus4 Cadd9 Oh no, she knows where to hide in the dark A7sus4 Cadd9 Dsus4 D* Oh no, she's nowhere to hide in the dark G G/Gb Cadd9 Dsus4 She's a star D* G G/Gb Cadd9 Dsus4 D* She's a star Em/D A7sus4 Don't tell her to turn down Cadd9 Dsus4 Put on your shades if you can't see Em/D A7sus4 Cadd9 don't tell her to turn down Dsus4 D* turn up the flame G G/Gb Cadd9 Dsus4 She's a star D* G G/F# Cadd9 Dsus4 D* She's a star G G/Gb It's a long road Cadd9 Dsus4 D* It's a good call G G/Gb It's a long road Cadd9 It's a good call Dsus4 You got it you got it D* G She's a star Theres another way to play the bridge which works well too it's a small change and different from the original so try this too :- A7sus4 Cadd9 Dsus4 Cadd9 Oh no, she knows where to hide in the dark A7sus4 Cadd9 Dsus4 Oh no, she's nowhere to hide in the dark D* She's a star.. Additional options :- Try slowing the song down and change the rhythm to suit. Put a bit more feeling into it, I've tryed this with the chords I've worked out and it also sounds good. Theres another version archived by Dan Taylor which finalised my research on this song try them both and see what you think.
