I was just living in a horror show

trapped under sea in new cement shoes

trying to speak in every tongue

tied up in white with nothing but time to spare.

Heroes come in every shade 

these walls just build themselves 

I am trying to reach the sun 

but falling short I just regret the day.



I am just living in this cheap motel

swimming in the streets of  a feeding frenzy

the air could but wear me down

the moon pulling tides from a dried up ocean.

I would just give it all up

but there's a simple answer

to drive our motorcade out of the now

into a new tomorrow.

no time with my friends

a new escape plan.

Maybe I should follow God

work real hard take more vacations

Maybe I should solve the stars

be on TV, rich and famous.



But that was all a lucid dream 

that I should just shake awake from.

A sickening fantasy that leaves me a worthless empty
