It kind of reminds me of a somewhat quicker version of Green Day's 'Brain Stew'. At first listen they might not sound too similar, but if you know the two well enough, you know what I mean. So here it is, pretty straightforward. The song begins with the bass line which is played twice with the drums before the other two guitars join in. (1*) x4** |---------------------------------| |---------------------------------| o---------------------------------o o------------------7-5------------o |--------5-7-8-7-------8-7--------| |--5-7-8-------------------8-7-5--| **the third time, the above riff is played this way: |-------------------------------| |-------------------------------| |-------------------------------| |----------------7-7------------| |--------5-8-7-------8-7-5------| |--5-7-8-------------------8-7--| (2*) x4 |---------------| |---------------| o---------------o o--10--9--8--7--o |--10--9--8--7--| |---8--7--6--5--| NOTE: Heres (1*) and (2*) are played at the same time... each being played four times before the main riff accompanied by lyrics. This next part is in my opinion, the main riff (3*) x4 See that animal, get some heavy metal... |---------------------------------------| |---------------------------------------| o---------------------------------------| o---10---10--10-10-10-0-9---9--9-9-9-0--| |---10---10--10-10-10-0-9---9--9-9-9-0--| |----8----8---8--8--8-0-7---7--7-7-7-0--| |-----------------------------------| |-----------------------------------| |-----------------------------------o |----8---8--8-8-8-0-7---7--7-7-7-0--o |----8---8--8-8-8-0-7---7--7-7-7-0--| |----6---6--6-6-6-0-5---5--5-5-5-0--| there's no new stuff really. it continues like this: (1*) x2 (3*) x4 (1*) x2 - part of this is played while the second guitar is strumming all muffled strings quickly. Similar to the end of the song, but less noticeable. (3*) x4 & solo This is the solo. though it is only variations of the first riff, and difficult to hear over all the distortion, here is what it sounds like to me. this first part of the solo is played twice |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| o-----------------------------------------------------------------o o----------------7-7----------------------------7-5---------------o |--------5-8-7-------8-7-5--------------5-8-7-------8-7-5---------| |--5-7-8--------------------8-7---5-7-8-------------------8-7-----| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |------------------7--5-----------7-7-5---------------5-7-8-7-----| |-5-7--8--7--8-7-5-------7-8--5---------8-7-5-7-5-7-8-------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |--7-7---------------------------7-5------------------------------| |------8-7-5-------------5-8-7-------8-7--------------------------| |------------8-7---5-7-8-----------------8-7-5--------------------| (2*) x4 - I can definitely hear the second guitar doing something weird here, but the distortion from the first covers it up too much and I can't hear it well enough to TAB it. (1*) x2 - this is played over what sounds like quickly strumming all muffled strings with heavy distortion like thirty times or something. just another note, the distortion makes it hard to hear sometimes, especially during the solo, so you may have your own opinion on how that goes, but that's how I like to play it. And again, I'm sure I missed something so... questions, comments, corrections: independence71@hotmail.com ~/~
