Well, why must you shout your opinions 
At the top of your lungs?
Why do you want us to hear you?
Is it our acceptance that you want?

Is it the lack of truth that flows deep in your blood
While you played through cities, 
Wanting more and more and more and more and more
Till you finally gathered all of us?

Well, can you rest upon your pillow,
The one made out of stone,
The one you slam your head against 
When you’re feeling quite alone?

And are you a poet 
Or unsure about yourself?
And so you hide
I think you are branded by society’s state of mind

Well, but your mask is quite extensive
And you’ve stolen all your thoughts 
From the man who hangs his head and cries,
“Help me, my thoughts are lost”

Well I want you to know 
That I can hear you through the halls
And every single word of yours stings worse 
Than the one before the one you just gave

And you say that the stars are beautiful
You say that they’re magnificent
But they’re falling hot upon you
Into the silent cement

Well, slash my throat
And rid me of your naive point of views about politics
And things in which you do not know

Well, in moments I can laugh
And in some I can sit and cry
But why oh why, cruel world, 
Must I be tormented until I die?

You think that you are better off than I 
And so you scoff 
Am I just drenched in jealousy 
Or is it enough that I have fought?

So please silence your tongue 
And let me rest my eyes
Oh please, oh please be silent
And in my prolonged demise

Well, at least there’ll be silence
In my death away from you
Cover up thy light
Let thy darkness shine on through
