Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck
I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold
I have come into the deep waters, the floods engulf me
Fear and trembling have beset me, horror has overwhelmed 
me
I am worn out calling for help, my throat is parched 
My heart is in anguish with me, the terrors of death 
assail me
Many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to 
destroy me
They sharpen their tongues like swords, and aim their 
words like deadly arrows
When they draw the bow let their arrows be blunted
O Lord, how many are my foes!
But You are a shield around me, O Lord, You bestow glory 
on me
I cry aloud, and He answers me
I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me
