About this Album:
On 1984's 1984, Van Halen were at change in style of music. This album was another step towards a different sound than compared to the first 4 VH records. Keyboards became more evident than ever, though it was not the first Van Halen album to feature keyboards contrare to popular belief. The album starts out with an Intro named 1984 that leads into Jump. A commircial hit to say the least that had a music video on MTV that was played a bit. If your a huge fan of VH, then you might like this song. Next up is Panama, another single with a video that was played a bit on MTV. A much more Van Halen tradition song with a good driving riff. Next up is Top Jimmy, a good song indeed that shows that they still have the fast pace going. Then Drop Dead Legs which a song some girls love and great to learn to play on guitar. Eddie's playing on this song is great and has an almost riff at the end. Hot For Teacher is next and starts with a wicked drum intro that almost sounds like a pack harleys coming down the road. This song was the last video to feature the original members together. I'll Wait is next which is different with keyboards but yet catchy. Girls Gone Bad and House of Pain finish off the album with a strong lead. The album was the final one to feature Diamond Dave and to some fans, would be one that they would love to go back and wish it could happen again.
