i watched the live perfomance as well, but you didn't seem to notice, or hear that he was changing strings. also, in the actual song on the album it's slightly modified, but this is how he plays it live. if you wanna be really specific, download their live performance on mtv2, and watch from 0:39-0:42, that's a good shot.
