BREATHE EASY (arranged from Sugababes) Chord-tabbed by Dadfad (John M) 12/11/02
This isn't exactly my style of music but I was asked to arrange it for someone
and I thought there might be others looking for it too. So anyway, here it is!

BREATHE EASY

(Location of chords are only approximations.)

Vamp between E-voiced and A-voiced chords through the intro...

Oooh, oooh, ooh
Oooooh yeah......

(E)I don't know how many (A)times we've walked the streets
(E)Talking for ages, about the (A)people we're gonna be
(E)We've been waiting for a (A)change
But I don't mind if you (E)don't change baby
Though it might seem crazy
But I'm (A)happy with you this way

Oh don't you know that
(E)You're a part of my heart(A)
And these emotions that I got from the (E)start
Are still (A)with me babe
And I'm tripping up over my words to (E)say...

(E)No-one ever told me life could be this sweet (A)..
(A)Breathing easy
(A)Breathing easy..........etc, etc, etc

-This is basically it. The whole tune is vamping (rhythmically moving back
and forth) between E and A chord-forms. Above I used the simple (E) and (A),
but I just did that for simplicity's sake. The vamps are actually between
different voicings of E and A-related chords and non-chords. I'll give a
few examples of E-A pairs that can be vamped between back and forth. Chang-
ing these forms from time to time will add variety to the simple structure
and keep it from becoming monotonous. This is the rhythm (or strum pattern)
of the tune: Keep your hand loose as it strums up and down using this type
of pattern: 1-and-2-and-3-4, and-1-and-2-and-3-4, and-1-and-2-and-3-4, etc.
Let numbers 1,2,3 be down-strokes and let the "and" beats be up-strokes. Use
a single 1 through 4 measure for each chord-form, then move the next chord
and repeat it, vamping like this over and over. As you get the feel of the
rhythm, you can use little variations if and as you see fit, maybe try a
triple beat between the changes, etc. Remember, the recording was done with
full orchestration, so you have to keep a nice on-going rhythm to attempt
to do this as a solo tune.
-Okay, here are some of the variations you can move between as you vamp.
I'll give then in pairs, the first being the chord-form you can use in
place of the E and the second for the A substitution.

066400 and 044200
024100 and 002400
022100 and 002200
079900 and 099700

And of course there are others, whatever sounds pleasing to you. Just try
to keep at least two E notes (a higher and a lower one) droning through
whatever chord form of A you choose, preferably with a second or ninth (B
note) in there as well. And that should do it. You should be able to put
that tune together pretty well from that. TOO CUTE, but still a pretty
little tune in its way! ("You'd think the world has had enough of silly
love songs. I look around me and I see it isn't so. Oh no!"). Good Luck!

(The Complete Lyrics)

Breathe Easy (Sugababes)

oooh, oooh, ooh
oooooh yeah

I don't know how many times we've walked the streets
Talking for ages, about the people we're gonna be
We've been waiting for a change
But I don't mind if you don't change baby
Though it might seem crazy
But I'm happy with you this way

(Bridge)
Oh don't you know that
You're a part of my heart
And these emotions that I got from the start
Are still with me babe
And I'm tripping up over my words to say

(Chorus)
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet
Breathing easy (breathing)
Breathing easy (easy)
This time we should be giving in
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet (so sweet)
Breathing easy
Breathing (easy) easy

We talk about the places that we intend to be
But if we were there would you be you?
And baby would I be me?
I don't want to be somewhere and realise this feeling's gone
(This feeling's gone)
I'm lost in these tenses
Confusing my senses
Tomorrow is taking too long

(Bridge)
Don't you know that
You're a part of my heart
And these emotions that I got from the start
Are still with me babe
And I'm tripping up over my words to say

(Chorus)
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet (no-one ever told me)
Breathing easy (breathing easy) (so sweet)
Breathing easy (breathing easy) (so so sweet)
This time we should be giving in
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet (no one ever told me) (so sweet)
Breathing easy
Breathing, easy

If I was a little wiser maybe
I wouldn't leave this road cos I've been
Out of this moment too long
I gotta find my way home

(Chorus)
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet (be so sweet)
Breathing easy (I know)
Breathing easy (I know this life's so sweet)
This time we should be giving in
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet (easy) (so sweet)
Breathing easy (breathing easy) (I know)
Breathing (breathing) (breathing) (no one ever told me)
This time we should be giving in

(Chorus)
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet (be so sweet)
Breathing easy (breathing easy, hey)
Breathing easy (breathing easy) (so sweet)
This time we should be giving in (be this sweet)
No-one ever told me love could be this sweet (so sweet)
Breathing easy, breathing easy...
