I acted like a clown
On this November morning
My day started with a shout
 
Waiting for the sun to rise
Listening to the silence so loud
I was walking down the line
Avoiding any soul, any crowd

Overwhelmed by your story
I took my guitar and sang
A simple song so blue, so holy
It felt like a concealed bang

Sleepwalking all day
And wandering all of the night
You took my breath away
And nearly put out my light  

My life was shattered
My days were numbered
Now all what mattered
Was to feel the sheets
(Not the gutter !)
