Artist: Sigur Ros
Album: Von
Song: Haffsol
Tabbed by: HopE
**Von means "hope" in icelandic and Haffsol means "the sun's sea."

At the beginning of this song, Georg plays a steady rythm with a drumstick
on the G string of his bass. The first little melody of the song and is played
with the fingers instead of pick.

Before the next little melody, Jonsi plays some stuff with his bow on the G
string of his guitar.

This riff is played before and during the first verse.

G Am7 C G
Bakvid skyjabol vaknar sol ur dvala

               Am7 C G

Am7 C G
byr til regnboga

After that verse, Jonsi sings in hopelandic so I can't really say what he's
singing, I'm not even positive that that first verse is Icelandic or not. For
those of you who don't know, Hopelandic is a form of gibberish that Jonsi
puts over a new song to get a rythm down for some new lyrics. So, he's not
really saying anything. Some songs, like this one, he always sings it in
Hopelandic.

When he's sings in Hopelandic, this is the chord progression:

| Em | C | G |

There you go. There's some repeating but you can figure it out.
