Wind geht, Wolken ziehen
 Am Mond vorbei
 Sprachlos von der Trauer
 Es bleiben nurnoch
 Erinnerungen an alte Zeiten!
 Thors Macht war nicht genug,
 Um Dir zu schenken das Leben,
 Noch heute höre ich den Schrei,
 Als sich der Pfeile drei
 In Deinen Rücken bohrten.

 Die Schlacht war blutig,
 Der Gegner zu Stark,
 Doch Du kämpftest tapfer weiter!
 Doch dann, nur eine Frage der Zeit,
 Verließ dich die Kraft,
 Dein Leben ging dahin.

 Nun stehe ich hier,
 Weißer Nebel zeiht auf,
 Trübt meine Sicht.
 Ein letztes Mal sehe ich zurück,
 Zu Deinem Platz mit Kampfesruhm,
 Wo Du nun heute in Frieden ruhst;
 Im Grabe liegst.

 The wind blows, the clouds
 Go by past the moon
 Wordless for the terror
 The only things left
 Are the remembrances from the ancient times!
 Thor's power was not enough
 To bring thee back to life
 I still hear thy cry,
 When three arrows
 Pierced thy back.

 The battle was full of bloodshed,
 The enemy too strong,
 And yet thou went on fighting bravely!
 However, just a matter of time,
 Your strength left you,
 Your life ran away.

 Now here I stand,
 A thick fog arises
 Dims my sight.
 Again I see for the last time
 In the glory of the battle
 The place where now thou rest in peace;
 In the grave thou lie.
