I didn’t write a single song today. 
I slept till twelve and felt guilty. 
I watched the clock tickmy life away, while I was only drinking coffee. 
And then another day is done, and still I didn’t make it at all. 

But I got one fan in Japan. 
She put a comment on my Myspace, saying she listens to my music all the time. 
I got one fan in Japan, and although she never saw my face, she thinks I look kind of pretty on my profile. 
And she’s friendly to me. 
At least virtually. 
And her name ends with e. 
It’s not easy, I recently turned twenty-three.

She lives a thousand miles away, but she’s the only fan I gained for today.
