About this Album:
Yet another brilliant album by the highly underrated Mrs. Imbruglia!!!!!!! I heard Shiver and really liked it, so I brought the album, and I am so glad I did! It has been a light for me in dark places and I highly recommend buying it. my favourite songs are Sanctuary, Shiver, Starting Today, I Won't Be Lost, When You're Sleeping, Perfectly, Counting Down The Days, Satisfied, Slow Down and the other 3 (On The Run, Honeycomb Child, and Come On Home). Basically I Love ALL of them! Honeycomb Child is definitely the weirdest track on the album but it is also a masterpiece, you have to listen to it a few times though, and remember it's about some of Natalie?s childhood memories.
After buying this album I became addicted to Natalie Imbruglia's music and went to see her performing live in London (she was one of thee best live acts I?ve ever seen). I also brought White Lilies Island and Left Of The Middle (I also have all her b-sides, and they are each good enough to make it onto an album of their own). They are both fantastic albums (LOTM and WLI) and you can really see how Natalie has developed as an artist. In these three albums she shows that she can do rock, indie, pop, and everything in between. Often with a few tracks that seem to have a genre entirely their own.
It is a shame that Natalie is so underrated as an artist but in a way it makes it seem more special that I have discovered this wonderfully rare jewel (Natalie Imbruglia), and only a few other incredibly lucky people (and myself) have the joy of listening to it sing in the wonderfully beautiful and angelic voice it possesses.
